The PBS KIDS GO! Writers Contest is a contest designed to promote the advancement of children’s reading skills through hands-on, active learning.  This contest encourages children in grades K-3 in communities across the PBS39 viewing Area to celebrate the power of creating stories and illustrations by submitting their own original pieces.  It extends the powerful tradition and annual success begun by the 15-year national run of the “Reading Rainbow Young Writers and Illustrators Contest.”

The top stories from each location move on to the PBS Fort Wayne Regional level! After the Regional results are announced in May, the contest officially concludes with a ceremony for the winners and their families.
