PBS Fort Wayne WX channel 39.5 is broadcasting now with even more weather information!

The Phase 2 Upgrade of our Live Weather Radar has been completed…

We have upgraded the weather radar and information now broadcasting on channel 39.5. This second phase not only includes more weather radar feeds and imaging, it adds local forecasts, live weather and climatic information and continually updated weather data such as daily extremes, wind gusts and more.

The evolution of this service on PBS Fort Wayne WX/Channel39.5 adds weather data and information area viewers have requested since the rollout of this new channel on broadcast channel 39.5.  In addition to new radar views being shown, screens with daily forecasts plus other climatic information will also rotate in throughout the day. Audio for this upgrade contiues to be directly brought to you from the National Weather Service regional office in North Webster, Indiana.

When a severe weather watch or warning for the PBS Fort Wayne service area occurs, the second phase also allows screens to focus specifically on the PBS Fort Wayne service region for the duration of those events. In addition, scrolling type at the bottom of the screen will change and provide vital information for viewers as these events occur and evolve.
