This is an opportunity for new or experienced weavers to explore pattern in projects with weekly timelines. Discussion and examination of different threadings, reading drafts, on-loom finishing, and beaming (dressing/undressing) will be covered. Over the month, participants plan three separate warps to create a fabric in each weave structure: four, six, and eight shaft. The studio will be open during the week to practice skills and keep on schedule.
Discussion and completion of each project takes place before starting the next one, so that all participants benefit from the process. An extra week allows time for finishing the 3rd project by the end of the last session. Direction and instruction will be given every step of the way to accomplish the goal. Loom rental, instruction, handouts, all tools and supplies are included in the cost.
