This free public screening is co-hosted by the Allen County Public Library and PBS Fort Wayne.

Electric Legacy, a new documentary production from PBS Fort Wayne, will take the viewer on a journey through 140 years of Fort Wayne history and also connects to people, places, and events in American history. It goes back to the origins of the company in the 1880s before becoming a part of General Electric, and traces its evolution through the product developments of the 20th century, WWII production boom and beyond. This presentation highlights the bonds that were formed among employees, the economic downturn of the 1980s, the final closure of the Fort Wayne GE Campus in 2015, and the hope created by the Electric Works project.
PBS Fort Wayne’s Rob Rhodes, the producer of this documentary, will be on hand to take questions from the audience about his research and the process of making this documentary after the clips are shared.
