Join the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI Fort Wayne), Saturday, May 6th, 2017, at IPFW for our 5K Run & Walk. This will be a fun day of community interaction and learning from 8:30 am - 1 pm (rain or shine with indoor and outdoor activities). The event will be open to the general public and will include a competitive 5K Run & a Free 1 mile Fun Walk. There will also be a Mental Health Fair. Additional activities will be available for people of all ages and abilities, with games, food concessions, free snacks and beverages, music, raffles, awards and prizes, team competitions and much more! Join us to break the stigma and remind everyone You are Not Alone.

Saturday, May 6, 10 am, Trillium and a variety of ephemeral wildflowers blanket Lonidaw in the spring! Lonidaw is a Native American name meaning “Spirit Queen of the Woods.” The wife of Potowatomi Chief Simon Pokagon bore the name. Beech and maple trees grow on the high ground; Sugar maple, red elm, walnut and hackberry stand on the lower ground. Lonidaw boasts a diversity of spring wildflowers: wild columbine and celandine poppy on the higher ground, or the skunk cabbage and marsh marigold in the low wetland around the shore of Little Whitford, a five-acre kettle lake, or with the birds and other wildlife that are seen in this preserve. Bring your camera, your friends and your sense of adventure!

Ladies, you are invited to enjoy a magical afternoon of high tea and enchanted events with the special little princesses in your life. The afternoon will include a silent auction, visits from your favorite princesses, a photo booth, vendors, and so much more. All proceeds are donated to Destiny Rescue at this fundraiser event.
